Hi Guys,

Its 3 months away from spring and my dad has allowed me to purchase a inflatable boat and motor (If I could i would prefer to purchase a Mercury) for $3000 - $3500 US. It would be used as a runabout boat mainly for just cruising along the bay and maybe a bit of fishing.

Thanks

I know nothing of Australian markets or what that money will get you there.

Our local Costco has this:
Typhoon 360S by Zodiac 3.6 m (11.8-ft.) Inflatable Boat
$1,399.99

Then I would probably look for a low hours freshwater only used 15 or 20HP to go on it.

I have an old Evinrude 20 and it has been very reliable, will even pull an adult on a tube, but not much good for trolling. I'd probably look for a 20 with a charging system and get a small electric trolling motor and battery.

If any money left, I'd get a bimini. Best add-on I ever made for my inflatable.

Being in Australia check Highfield Inflatables, lots of models to choose. Also check Tohatsu 18-30 HP 2 strokes engines, perfect to power any sib-rib in the 380-430 Mt range.

Happy Boating
