power pack help 2000 200 HP johnson

did some tests...on the power pack test..hooked up meter to ignition coil and ground, reading just barely 1 volt when turning over engine...what do you think. Either. Stator or power pack??? Also how good are these aftermarket power packs..like did or should I stick with OEM factory part...this in advance

I used a very good multi meter that can measure ohms,volts up to 600 volts and more..is that ok. What do you think of the after market power packs such as did or should I stick with OEM. Thanks Boobie

Have you got a DVA adapter for it to read peak reading voltage ?? I've always used OEM but I heard CDI is also good.
