Replace Alpha One with Alpha One Gen 2?

I had an earlier thread about my drive problems, but I have a new question, so new thread:

I have an 87 Alpha One with 1.5 ratio. I found an Alpha One Gen 2 (late 90s model) with 1.47 ratio for sale locally. What would I need to do to install the Gen 2 on my boat? Is it plug and play or would I need a Gen 2 bellhousing?

Nevermind, I found my answer. Some major differences I see....must find 1st Gen Alpha One.
