Hi everyone, I bought me a 1991 Invader V165 and the floor is pretty much gone in this boat, so after watching FriscoJarretts glastron repair.

I'm pretty new to this, and have lots of photos, and I'm sure I'll have lots of questions.

Jay's video's & threads really help pull the necessary work together & have it make sense.

Good luck w/ your project & welcome to the iboats dry dock

Happy 4th. Maybe next year's can be celebrated aboard a completely redone V165.

Thanks! Happy 4th to you too!

I have nothing but time on my hands, so hopefully it won't take very long. The hull itself is good, shines right up, transom is very solid, no rot, just the stringers and floor and interior was shot.
The engine, which is a 3.0 4 banger may be froze, I may replace that with a small block chevy.

I got the motor out, it's not froze.. Quick question, it has the wires and harness on the motor (3.0 4 cylinder mercruiser) - how can I start it without having to attach the harness back to it and using a key?

Question... The alpha 1 gen 2 lower unit has a crack where the ring is that the propeller goes into.. Can that be fixed, or.. Can I take the upper and lower off and put an alpha gen 1 on there?

Do you think I should enclose the gas tank, or make a removable hatch lid?
PS.. I'm not keeping the ski locker, I'm enclosing it

and more stuff WP_000563.jpgWP_000588.jpgWP_000589.jpgWP_000590.jpgWP_000591.jpg

Question on the motor mount..
I have several pieces of ply to put together.
Is it okay to just use PL glue to stick them together and then fiberglass around the entire thing, or should I use mat and stick them together?
