I'm in the process of reinstalling my outdrive and motor. I need the transom gasket and the two anode bolts on the bottom of the gimbal housing. In an earlier thread I was given a part number for the transom gasket, but when I enter it into the parts search I don't get anything. When I search for a transom gasket, it only shows one for the Gen two. I have an alpha one Gen one 1.86 ratio.

My anode bolts twisted in two. When I search iboats, the search yields the acorn caps, but I need the whole bolt and everything. I can't find info about them in old threads so far. If I can't find anything I guess I could find a bolt that fills the hole and then add an anode and ground it to the gimbal housing?

Ayuh,.... I donno where yer lookin' for the gasket,...

Mercruiser has Both,...

The bolts yer lookin' for are actually aluminum Studs, threaded on both ends, but with a shoulder on the outer end,...
1/2", by 'bout 5 or 6"s,...

Re: Gimbal housing anode and transom gasket

Thanks guys. I typed transom seal into the search here on the iboats store and it only showed me the Gen two gasket. I have found it other places, but iboats always ships fast.

Is this thing to be used to drive the new gimbal bearing into place? And, can I drive the old bearing out from the backside with a punch and a hammer without damaging anything?
