what the pulse for tach on a1987 200 johnson 2 stroke??????

Hello everyone,
PLEASE Tell me what the pulse setting is for a 1987 200hp Johnson looper is???????? I;ve bought 3 tachs: and none work

. I have continuity on all the wires from the tach back to the rectifier:facepalm:. please help.

Yes it is.thats why its bugging me why I can't get a tach to work.

power to tach? good ground? wiring correct?
