I just had the water pump replaced on my 115hp 4 stroke Mercury. It starts fine and goes well at any RPMs until I get to 4000 R's. Any thing higher and the engine fails and is hard to restart. After finally restarting same thing happens all over again. Is there a code or some type of reset that has to be done after a repair? Phone call to Marina said bad gas or fuel pump/filter. If that is the case why does it run well at 4000 R's or less? Starts on first crank after sitting overnight.
