How can I tell the difference between a though hub exhaust and a non through hub exhaust for force 85-125 lower units?

Non have the water pickups on the rounded side of the bullet. The thru hub will have it higher up on the flat part of the lower unit.

ok. I have two of them and they both have the pickups on the side of the bullet. Can a motor run with either lower end as long as it has the right prop?
