Want thoughts on this engine, it is a 94 GM 4.3L, it has 175K and good compression across all cylinders. My friend wants to put this in his boat to replace the cracked engine he has. I dont think its a good idea, I feel $300 is too much for it. It has been sitting for 6 months. I am afraid it wont last too long on the water.

Ayuh,.... If the compression is solid, it could be marinized, 'n run,...

$300. don't buy much motor,... Reman is atleast 6 times that,...
