Has anyone ever used a car fuel pump for their outboard High pressure pump?

I have a few car pump laying around that still work. I have a 03 honda outboard 200 hp. I have a fuel pump from a 99 honda accord that was replaced due to an upgraded fuel pump. The pump seems to fit inside the High fuel pump housing quite fine except the top of the fuel pumps electrical connectors. I know i can get it to work, however do car fuel pumps give out same pressure as outboard fuel pumps?

Some car fuel pumps these days are high pressure types because they feed fuel injection engines. So their fuel pressures are pretty high compared to a standard boat fuel pump. So unless you know the pressure ranges of the car pump and the pressure needed for the boat engine, be careful using them...

Standard fuel injection (into the intake manifold) in cars was in the 30-40PSI range. Do you have a DI Outboard?
