I have a 1982 Four Winns Marquis 160 F&S (1100 lbs?) with an '87 Evinrude 110 hanging off the back. The rated WOT for that motor I believe is 5500 RPM. The motor has a 13 3/8 X 17, 3 blade aluminum prop on it and if I push the throttle all the way I can turn 6200 rpm.
Here is my Question, if I put a 14 X 19, 3 blade, aluminum prop on my 110, it will bring the RPM down to close to the rated rpm and give me some more speed right?
I understand my hole shot may suffer and it may take a lil longer to reach plane. I believe the prop that is on it is original. And I would be looking at replacing it with a Michigan Wheel 14 X 19.
