Good evening all,
I am looking to purchase a tilted element transducer for a 1988 Carver Santego and want to make sure the 8 degree advertised deadrise is correct. I am not questioning the manufacture literature but some say hull and others say transom (deadrise) and when I measures with a angle meter I got more around 18-19 degrees. I want to make sure I purchase the correct transducer being I'm cutting a 2 inch hole in my hull bottom. Should I get the 8-15 or 16-24 degree transducer.

Thank you in advanced,

Gary

Re: Correct deadrise for tilted element transducer

IIRC from when I had to do it,
Measure the angle at the keel (in the area you plan to install the 'ducer) subtract from 180 and divide by two to figure deadrise

DR = (180-A) / 2
