I am having trouble getting to the starter to remove and replace, any suggestions?

Remove things until you can get to the starter. Every boat is different, and I have no idea what you see on your particular boat.

I believe we have the same boat. The big trick is to use a 8" extension no swivel. Once on the bolt you will have only two inches of wrench travel hopefully the bolts will snap loose and you can use your finger's to turn the extension and bolts off. The hard part is getting the right angle to turn the wrench installing the new bolts are a breeze. You may find it takes gymnastic's to get in the right postion
