I'm new to iboats and I'm hoping that someone can help me out. I have a 1990 Evinrude TE50TLESF that has been sitting for a few years.
Ive decided to get her back on the water again.(Hopefully). I have rebuilt the carbs and removed the VRO.
Here's the problem... She will idle all day long on the muffs but as soon as I raise the rpm's, she will start coughing.
Decided to check spark. With a spark tester I'm jumping a1/2" gap. Started motor up,pulled top plug and nothing changed. Pulled bottom plug and she died. Put brand new plugs in both cylinders and same results.
Could someone please guide me in the right direction.

If both plugs jumping 1/2"gap then something wrong with fuel or fuel delivery.

Thanks. I will check adjustments on carbs.
Compression was130 on both cylinders before it sat up. I have not checked recently. Should I start there?
