Crownline 270 CR ballast issue

Hi There

This is likely a rookie question from a guy who's used to smaller, flatter boats but I just recently bought a Crownline 270 CR. Very pleased with it all the way around but when I'm in chop (3 feet or better) it seems like a full time job to keep it from rolling to an uncomfortable point. Seems very top heavy and/or under ballasted. Is this just something I need to get used to with cruisers of this size?

Thanks much.

Trailerable cruisers are often a bit "tippy". May be something you're just going to have to get used to.

Many builders design a high hull for more headroom in the cuddy. Yes, they rock, roll, and bob like a fishing float. Not all boats with a cuddy are like that- they are easy to point out on the water or on the trailer.
