At the end of last season, the tilt/trim on my 1985 Evinrude 70 VRO suddenly stopped working. I thought I was screwed as I needed to get the boat to the other end of the lake to trailer it out and the motor was tilted up although the prop was still in the water. Then I started it and everything seemed to work fine. Turned the engine off...no tilt/trim. I seem to recall that with the engine off I was still getting a solenoid (or some other) click but no movement. Any ideas?
