Newbie question here coming in from the jet-ski world.

I need a new prop for the above motor on a 95/96 Blue Water 15.5' which according to what little info I can find on it weighs 760lbs.

While I can't verify rpm, I gps'd it before I dinged it this week-end at 32mph at top speed with little chop and 2 adults on board. The prop might have already been damaged but not like it is now.

The existing prop is a 10" diameter, 17" pitch prop (48 73144 A40 17B).

Is this the best prop or do you need to take tachometer reading before selecting? The boat is used for cruising on rivers and bays and occasionally on a lake.

Thanks in advance.

Also is an aluminum prop best for me as a new boater? I read here that if you hit something, the ss prop could damage the motor.
