I have a 1990 TE50TLESF that will idle all day long on the muffs, but as soon as i give the slightest bit of throttle it wants to start coughing. It will stay running but will constantly cough untill I let off the throttle.
Carbs have been rebuilt and just disconnected the VRO and put on a conventional fuel pump. I did not adjust the carbs in any way, but i will add that, after reinstalling them i ran the motor with the air silencer and cover off and it ran fine.(no caughing at higher RPM's) ordered a new gasket for the cover and installed the silencer and cover. Ran the motor and this is when the coughing started.
Any suggetions?
