Quick question: What changed in 2001 for the Merc 350?

Friend has a 2001 sea ray 210 with fuel injected Merc 350. Trying to decide if he needs manual 24 or 31 without knowing his S/N or if he has EFI or MPI.

Brief review suggests that Manual 31 they must have gone entirely to MPI and just dropped the other sections out? Any other differences in the manuals you're aware of?

Get the engine serial number. Year of the boat may not be the same as year of the engine.
Both manuals have MPI.

Kind of forgot about the obvious difference.

Manual 24 would be for engines using the MEFI ecm's while 31 would be for engines with the 555 ecm.

Thanks Don! I'll just give him both and let him figure it out (when he is at the boat and can look at the SN).
