Need some serious help! I don't know much about engines but recently found out from mech that our 1986 70hp Johnson VRO powerhead is bad due to previous owner lack of maintenance so in searching around for a new powerhead we found a 1983 75hp Johnson powerhead rebuilt for a decent price. I just want to know if this powerhead is compatible with the 70hp unit, before i waste money and 2.5.hr drive to go pick it up. Any insight would be highly appreciated!
