I am looking for the instructions to set the electric choke on a 1989 Mercury v-6 I/O. This has the mercruiser/2 barrel carb. What doesnt make since is how the choke works. The choke plate is in the open position all the time. I assume the electric choke opens the plate. Also what holds the plate in the closed position there is no spring to hold it closed becasue the elecric choke would pull it open. This is a alpha 1 out drive in a 1989 Sea ray 180BO with 258 hrs.
