year of Johnson-Seahorse

I recently aquired an older boat and motor and was hoping someone could tell me the year of the motor.
It is a Johnson Seahorse 9.5.
Serial Number J3757508
Model 9R-73B
Also on the engine, along with the serial number is molded into one of the parts near the serial number medallion: 309581 with 2 centered underneath.

bonzoscott - thank you for your reply. It is a jewel. It sat unused for 4 years and after a fresh fuel and new plugs, it started on the second pull. Now it gets used at least twice monthly and I've had no problems.
