I bought this motor and it runs great. The guy I got it from took the linkage off and I'm having a little trouble getting it back on. Not sure if I'm missing a Peice. If u have this motor, or one similar , could u post a picture of the linkage where it attaches to the outboard? Thank you. My controls and cables are good. I think I may be missing a piece that looks kinda like a wing nut. Any help would be great.

It's just a cap which holds the shift linkage on it the pin in the shifter assembly. A nut holds it in place. Physically it's just beneath the throttle linkage though may be forward or to the rear if it. (From front to back) by a couple of inches either way. It depends where the transmission is. In Neutral it's pretty much right under the throttle linkage.
