I have a 1989 mercury classic fifty. It start right up and idles great.. However, I can only get 4,800-5,000 rpms out of it. Once it reaches its top rpm I can still advance the throttle but it just bogs down. Its mounted on a 16 ft. Monark flatbottom and I'm using a 9 pitch 12.25'' diameter prop and the boat won't even plane. I put new needles and gaskets in the carbs and completely replaced all the fuel line but nothing seems to help. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks
