Holley 2 barrel carb

Ok I a 1994 wellcraft excel with a 572 (Chevy 350) and volvo penta sp-c outdrive. Currently has a Holley 2 barrel carb which is in need of redone. My question I can get a 4 barrel quadrajet off a friend can I just use a adapter plate for this switch? I know marine is different then auto is the plate that big of a deal?

Any carb you go with needs to be for Marine application. As for tyour engine, look closely at the manifold and carb for an adapter plate, the manifold may already be for a 4bbl and has an adapter to fit the 2bbl, maybe. Worth a look anyway.
