Hi guys
A friend of mine has a 2 cylinder 25hp tohtsu that runs and purrs like a new engine.
we know its getting on abit but its a real good little runner, just needs a decent prop on it.

Now the problem is we have a prop on it thats on its last legs, and we want to know what else could fit this engine
its the old pin drive type with a shear pin .
the model of the engine is M25A2 its about late 70's engine and thats as far as we know.
obviously not a thru prop exhaust.
if anyone has fitted different make of props for these would be good to know

tohatsu themself are useless for information

I'm not crazy about rebuilding little props but you may have to.
Its hard to believe there isn't a Tohatsu dealer or distributor or a prop dealer that can't at least get you a part number.
On some Force motors you can run a thru hub on a non thru hub motor, same hub.
Perhaps you could put your hub into a thru hub prop.Maybe the hubs are the same?

the problem is the prop is thin

the water intake is like where a trim fin goes on a through hub.
this makes it impossible to use a through hub as they are too long in the hub are.
we only have about 2.5 inches in total to play with from front to back.
i was wondering about old johnson props, and what the sizes of the spindle may be ?
or something similar that are not hard to get hold of.
Might end up having to make up a sort of bush thing then use props that have the hubs cut down.

need something about 9.5 diameter with about 13 inch pitch.
