ok, I have a 74 evinrude 25hp
NEw to me and I had it running, check the spark on the cylinders and the bottom one was weak.
So I replace the points and condensers, now no spark on the bottom. It actually gave me a small weak spark on first try then nothing since.
Both plugs will spark when connected to the top trigger wire so plugs and and coils are good.
Points are gap to .020
Continuity across the two trigger wires on the trigger coil when disconnected from the points, both magnets in the flywheel are good.
What are the best way to find a ground I cant seem to find one???? OR a difference between the two cylinders wiring systems.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Should the trigger wire be grounded? because both are showing continuity to ground, seems right since the points are uninsulated from the timing plate
Thanks
Scott
