chrysler 6hp outboard info needed please

Hi i currently have a crysler 6hp outboard, it runs pretty good. fuel leaks from the carb tho and i have no idea where to locate a kit.

the only info i can find on the motor is its a 6hp, model# 62ba, serial# 8209, the carb says tillotson on it and is stamped CO2A.... could any one tell me what that stuff means such as year? and also maybe point me in the direction of parts?

The info that you see is basically what you'll see on the web page. I'm curious to see if your carb might apply to other small engines and possibly a small engine repair shop will possibly have your need. It appears that some 4 hp Chryslers were 4 cycles but I doubt that went into 6 hp or even 5 hp (which uses 2cycle mix).

Take a look in your carb (try to know your specific needs), it might need a simple float adjustment (level inverted), needle, seat, gasket or etc. I c/n clearly see the carb but I w/n hesitate to check a local small engine repair shop or marina for a kit or minor parts if needed.

Like wick suggests look in and see what's needed.
Most cases the only thing you need is a good cleaning.
Be carefull if you soak it. Soaks can ruin rubber/plastic.
Valley Sales in Prudenville,Mi. he probably has the parts if you need any.
