i have a 1994 40hp johnson mdl j40tlere with vro. did not get owners manual with boat. wondering how and when to use the vro primer bulb. just pump till resistance is felt kinda like the fuel bulb? anything to beware of with the vro set up? thanks....Bill

Half the folks on this forum are going to tell you to disconnect it and the other half are going to tell you to keep it. Yes, just sqeeze the primer bulb until slight resistance is felt. Get into the habit of checking the oil level in the tank each time you run the motor and it should give you years of service.
