More miles top speed

Hi,k now my boat have a bravo 3 ratio 1.81 is a cobalt 27 feet decrease 20 in pich 22 ss and the engine is a mercruiser ciclone 400 hp. The engine specification WOT IS 4800-5200 rpm, In this moment the boat a wot take 5100 rpm and 45 miles top end..... My question is: can i go to proppeller pich23 pr 24 to incrase my top speed to 48-50 miles?

It appears to me that an increase in pitch will result in less rpm,slower hole shot and esentially the same speed.
Your present slip is about 23%, high but the size of the boat probably accounts for that. What is the diameter of your prop?
Is your speed by a gps?
Making a 27ft boat that already runs 45 mph increase speed 3 to 5 mph is unlikely.

eric11s, I think the general consensus is to drop a pitch when going from 3 to 4 blades, not the other way. The 4 blades usually provide better hole shot and mid-range economy but I don't recall anyone claiming higher top speed.

Ok Blackhawk I understand your point, I remaind with my ss pich 22 mercruiser bravo 3 propeller thanks for all your answers.
