I hope I have all the essentials here.

1984 SeaRay Seville 19'
Merc outdrive SN: 6708408
120 HP Inline 4 Cylinder

I've had this boat about 4 years and it was running great at the end of last season. So far this season I've had a problem getting on the plan and running. The engine seems to hit about 1/2 power and then level off. No additional power for more throttle. Sometimes it'll get rolling and get up to max RPM, most of the time it's stuck at 3 - 3.5k rpm.

I took a picture of the ignition setup because it doesn't look like any of the pictures i've seen on the forums. photo(12).jpg

It seems like the previous owner converted the ignition from points to electronic, but it looks like he used some automotive parts. I'm wondering if the coil is going bad causing my problems. I've replaced the fuel water separating filter, plug wires, the plugs are good, so what's next? The gas gauge isn't working, but I've got the new sending unit ready to go in this week.

Looking for any guidance. Thanks for the help.
