Just bought a 1993 Sea Ray 180 with a Mercury 135hp Black Max on it. Due to where I live (on salt-water canal with dock), and the limited availability of a ramp, I need to leave it for 2-3 weeks at a time. MUST FLUSH THOUGH!
In looking at the engine, it appears that I could install a fresh water flush adapter and valve. Then again, this is my first outboard.
Has anyone done this? Can you tell me how you did it and give me any advice (other than "get the boat out of the water and flush afterwards")? I would really appreciate it.
