What signals should I get?
Is it like the Mercury's.
Intermitent tone=oil?
Steady tone + overheat?
My neighbors 2008 200 when the oil gets low it sounds a steady alarm.
The pump under the deck for the oil works but when the tank on the motor gets low it won't automtically fill??The sender in the tank? He's been filling with the switch on the back of the motor.

Don't have the serial#s sorry.

Re: Yamaha Alarm System

If it works with the bypass switch then my guess is the float switch in one of the tanks,

What lights are lit up on gauges?

If remote tank is low or switch or wire problem making it think it is low ,auto fill will not work

Re: Yamaha Alarm System

The intank oil strainer was kinked and twisted.
Keeping the float at the bottom.
Still wondering about the alarms?
Steady tone? Overheat? Or Oil?
How's it supposed to work?
I removed the sender and when the float's all the way down it sounds the alarm.A steady tone.
That won't shut off till I move the float and turn the key back off/on.

I don't know what they are either, but you can go here Owners Manuals | Yamaha Outboards and download the owner manual for that motor. It should give you the different alarms.

Yamaha does not have different sounds for the oil and overheat,
that is why there are gauges with indication of what alarm come in.
