Hi All,
New to boating last year and still learning alot. I have a
1990 Ranger 363v with a150 Johnson outboatd. The boat came
with a shooter ss 4 blade 13 1/4 25 pitch prop. Last year I had a prop strike
in shallow water and torched the prop bad. Ended up replacing carrier bearings seals
and bought a Johnson 3 blade 23 pp. I noticed the old shooter prop had a plastic
ring between the lower end housing and the propeller. (Converging ring) I take
it. The new johnson prop sets right into the lower hub so this plastic ring can no
longer fit. Was just wondering if this was normal. Spent the last week scouring the
web with little learned. Thanks and any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
