006.jpgi just bought a lowe 170 with a 70 hp johnson. the prop is dinged up.i was wanting to make sure the 17 p. prop is the right prop before i order a new one.

A 17 seems like a reasonable size.The best way to tell is run the present prop if its not too dinged up.
Get us the wot rpm and gps speed. We will need the year of the boat and motor with the gear ratio if possible.

i cant run it thats the problem. one blade is bend pretty good.

OK so how did it work before it got damaged? While the size sounds reasonable, information is needed as to whether it is the "right" prop or is there a better one.

You could get the prop repaired and do some test runs if it turns out you need a change keep it for a spare or sell it.

iwent ahead and ordered a new one in 17p if it dont work out,i guess ill have a spare prop.
