Re: trailer weight

My Caulkins trailer for my 20 foot cuddy has 6 X2 inch rectangular tube frame members and 6 X 3 inch tongue. It is fully galvanized and has a single axle with 15 inch wheels and tires. It has an electric winch and three sets of rollers. It is just shy of 1000 pounds.

Weight can vary significantly with steel frame size, number of axles, and roller or bunk design.

Remember, the wheels and tires are carrying the weight of the trailer in addition to the weight of the boat SO: In my case, the trailer has a gross capacity of 3900 pounds and will only carry a net boat weight of 2900 pounds
