2001 150hp HPDI Bogging on throttle

Sometimes when I hammer the throttle to get up on plane the motor boggs. But if I cut the motor and restart the engine all is fine and have full power.

Has to be a fuel delivery problem......maybe a clogged filter somewhere. Other than that is runs great.

have it hooked up to a computer by Yamaha shop, and check all fuel pressures.
These motors are fairly smart, but need the proper equipment to look at everything
if running with restricted fuel it will pop pistons.

There are many filters and screens on the HPDI motors

Thanks only problem now is the closest reputable shop is an hour away.

That needs to be took into consideration when buying a motor to start out with.
Some one has to be able to work on it with the proper equipment

12year old engine, time to replace all filters including the ones in the injectors and high pressure pump.
