chrysler 55hp model and serial # missing

Hi everyone new to board I just purchased a new to my family boat and coil is blown. I went to order parts. My I'd tag is missing can any one help me out? I d very much appreciated it.

Maybe?? Some place on the block,maybe on the stbd side is a factory casting stamp.
Usually a round thing cast into the block with the year it was cast.
Also under the rear mid section cover might be another casting stamp.

I found these numbers on the block in a circle stamp. 760 29 and on top was 268010-1 any ideas, or can anyone identify the mag coil I need for it. The ones on it are red.

The pics need more quality and light. I feel it is a standard Magneto sys from what I could see. I added light and size using PhotoShop but you did not send enough quality. If this was email quality, try sending about two steps higher.

My 1970 35 hp Chrysler has red coils in the Mag Sys (Attached). I need to seal the one I nicked pulling the flywheel with screws too long.

That looks like my set up where can a guy find those coils that you have

The 760 might be a 1976? Post a pic.

Are the coils fried, cracked, or what? Or! Is no fire which could be another component (points, condensers) causing you to think coil? If they are not known to be bad, I would check all components first (coils are most expensive IMO).

The coil is shot one lead fell out and was smoking when motor was running.
