Anyone know the gear lube capacity of the lower unit gearcase on a 1984 Merc 90 hp inline 6?

less than a qt. About 25 oz, I think. I found it helpful to buy 2 qts and use the pump to refill the gearcase. I refill the pump about 1/2 thru.

My '78 Merc 500 uses roughtly 1/2 - 3/4 of a quart.
