Today I got a rock stuck between the prop and the prop guard. After I removed the rock the prop seemed to be slipping at higher rpm's. I thought it was probably a shear pin but was u able to locate one when I removed the prop. What might be going on?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... My guess is, the rubber hub is stripped...

A Prop Shop can replace it for ya...

A prop shop can replace the hub and repair any damage.
However a new prop replacement may be more cost affective.
Also a new prop may be the latest technology.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll check into a new prop. One of the disadvantages of running a prop guard is the occasional rock getting stuck. Thanks again.

Runing prop guards lessens rpm a bit, will benefit going 1 pitch down to raise revs up to where it used to be before installing prop guard.

Happy Boating
