Wow! One that big can pull the boat around for awhile. How long did he fight before you landed him? Love to see people release fish, that one should produce some very healthy stock for future fishermen.
I didn't really time the fight. I was too busy hanging on to the rod!! I'll guess it was only about 15 to 20 minutes. I had to tire it out as my mono leader was only 25 pound test so I didn't want to put undue pressure on it. It had my Catmaxx rod doubled over and the drag was a singing!!
