Ok don't slam me on this one. I have no idea if this is even worth my time. I own a 17' I/O 2.3l bowrider. 2-2500 lbs. range boat i suspect or more, if I'm waterlogged. Now I have laying in my garage a 12volt 30 lb. thrust. Is it even worth my time to bring along in case of a breakdown, and maybe I need to get out of a channel out in the bay while waiting for help? Or will this thing not even push me along if I mount it out on my swim boarding ladder platform?
Ok let's hear it, is there even a value to this thing if I sold it?Thanks

Re: 30 lb. thrust 12volt question

get a large beer cooler and mount the 30lb on that with the battery inside that way if you sink you ride the jet ski water cooler back to the dock. :D

i realy dont think a 30lb would have any control over a 17' boat unless the water was real calm with very little current. You might get -1 to 2mph which is better than padling.

everything has a value it just wont make you rich

Take it with you next time and pretend you broke down.
See if it will do what you need, before you really need it.
If not, execute Plan B.
