My tilt/trim switch went out on my 55hp Suzuki control box, the NA12S. I ordered a new switch from an electronics parts house, and it seems to be the same 3 prong rocker switch. However, when I soldered the new one on and put it all back together, I have issues.
1. Now the key will not crank the engine but it does turn on the gauges. I suspect something maybe with the kill switch.
2. The engine titled up but won't go down. This is with the new switch and the motor switch.
There were 3 wires. Blue, Grey, Pink. I soldered the wires on the same posts that they were on the old one.
Mt questions are:
1. Is the kill switch tied into the tilt/trim switch?
2. Do I have a different problem now with the tilt. It was working the other day on the engine.
Any help would be appreciated.
