Hey guys,

I'm looking to power six infinity 612m reference 6.5" speakers and an MTX TM1004 10" sub in my boat. I have very limited knowledge when it comes to audio. I'm not looking to spend crazy money but I want my music to be crisp, clear and loud when needed. Taste ranges from country to heavy metal. Can you recommend an amp for me? Head unit has also not been selected yet.

Thanks!

I'd say get the smallest amp you can. I prefer peace and quiet when out on the water,I don't like to hear someone elses niose.
But thats just me.

I prefer answers over opinions, but that's just me. Hah. Seriously I'm on Lake Superior where there's more than enough room to get away if someone is playing loud music on a random area in a large public lake. Anyone else?

Go Class D, whatever you do. The three amps in the picture are in the space that would have been taken up by 1 large traditional amp. They run much cooler, waste less power, and sound good.

If you are on a budget, the JL XD series are pretty nice and they make a 600/6. If not on a budget, the JL HD series are nice as well. They also have a 600/6 I believe. I had the Alpine PDX which is the only reason it is not all JL in there.
