mercury 115 gearbox

Hi, can anyone help with this.have got a 1999 4 cylinder 2 stroke mercury 115hp and the gearbox is shot but someone has one for sale in the UK on ebay.The serial no. on mine is 1667-9010 08 whereis the one thats on ebay is
Mercury Mariner Outboard Motor Boat Engine Spares GEARBOX LONG SHAFT 75-115
Full Working Order For Most 75hp 90hp 115hp 1993 - 2006. PART NUMBER 1667-9010 C5.
Trying to find out if this will fit mine.

Ask them what gear ratio is as the 3 and 4 cylinders are different. The 3 cyl 75/80/90hp units will not fit a 100/115/125hp engine due to ratio. Also see if it has a mill notch above the trim tab as this will let you know if its a 3 or 6 jaw reverse as the shift linkages are different between a 3 and 6 jaw.

found out its no good from a 3 cylinder engine,though another one has just come up for sale its off a mercury 2004 125hp 2 stroke and the gear box number is 1667-9010-C8 any idea if this would ok,thanks

1999 and up will fit ,just make sure gear ratio is the same
