Owning my first fiberglass boat and I am wanting to take the best care of it possible and I have a few questions. Will washing it down with the water hose and bleach cause any permanent damage usually after a weekend of fishing it is full of sand, fish slime and guts so I get in it in the yard and spray it down with bleach and scrub it with a brush on a pole and wash it all out. Afterwords I park it under the shelter nose up with the livewell and all the hatches open is this satisfactory or is all this washing doing damage? Also I have an external bait tank for shad and when I run out of shad and am done for the day I have been draining it into the boat and pumping it out using the bilge pump. Boat is a 181 Mako Bayshark.

Re: Water in a boat

Just rinse the bleach out very good and you will have no issues :)
