Trim tabs with offshore bracket

Anyone try this? I'm not sure how the tabs would work with an offshore bracket that's about 30% of the total transom width. Would I still see benefits in plane time/fuel economy or would I only be able to trim a bit? Any info appreciated.

It really depends!

What type of boat? Do you have a photo of the transom with the bracket? Trim Tabs gave been used with outboard brackets very successfully for years. Since the bracket shifts the weight of the outboard aft Trim Tabs can be a real help in balancing the boat at lower speeds.

Thanks for the replies. Can you post a pic of your install, Iprizman?

Here is a pretty typical installation on a boat with a bracket:

Thanks, Tabman. I have a rather unique transom with the hull extending almost 2" beyond the vertical transom which might complicate installation. I'll take a pic and post it for feedback.

It's a 2010 Alumaweld Blackhawk 180 with a Merc 115 four stroke. The boat runs heavy as I mostly fish or crab with one or more large friends, coolers, kicker, downriggers, fuel, etc etc.
Here's some pics of the transom area:
