I have a mid 80s 40 hp 2 cycle with 397610 carbs. Last season it would start fine and rev high in neutral, as soon as in gear it would just fall on its face no power. I opened up the carbs and they were lacquered. I also noticed the outer jet tube has a crack running the length. It has a smaller tube running inside it. Is this replaceable? Or do I need to? This boat sat out in 100+ temps all summer. Ran great before the problem occurred.
