1.jpg3.jpg1.jpgOK..Im new here but have owned a few boats in the past. I recently purchased a 1988 Vision 180 F/S w/ a Johnson 150 VRO O/B on it. Just checking it out on muffs right now. It will start and run (has old gas trying to get it out) but will run. Water pump is working as well as the VRO pump. My question is this, I notice when I put muffs on it water comes out from places I don't remember water coming out before on other boats I've owned. But I never really had to run them on muffs either. I have included a few pics to help show the leaks..is this normal??

there's water shooting out of various houles on the lower unit on my 140 evinrude, pretty similar. if you have a good pee stream you should be alright, check your overheat sensors just in case

Ya..I think the few holes with water coming out are ok and yes I have a good pee stream but it looks like I have water coming out on top of my lower unit. Over heat sensors are news too me, where are they and how do you check? Johnson 150 GT VRO. I wonder..If I shoot grease in lower unit and see if water comes out, that will tell me if water has breached lower unit. Good theary or not??
