HI guys I just picked up a 1998 mariner 25hp (Serial # 0G639593). I got the motor for basically free with a nice all welded flat bottom and trailer. Its a very clean motor and the previous owned claimed it sat up most its life and it sure looks that way under the cowl. I got a carb rebuild kit and a new fuel filter/lines today and I plan to rebuild the carb tomorrow then try for fire it up.
Can anybody tell me if this is a "good" motor or not? I've never owned a mariner before but Ive read its pretty much identical to the mercs beside the paint job. Do these motors have any know problems I may need to look out for?
Also I was wondering if there is a freebie online manual for these motors , I was able to get one for my 92 merc thanks to an Iboats memeber so I was curious if it was possible to find one for this 25.
